WAM Dubai, Sep 10th, 2009 (WAM)--Sep 10th, 2009 (WAM)--Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received at his Al Marmum resort last night German Muslim Scholar Dr Murad Hofmann, who has been selected as Islamic Personality of the year by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award in its 13th edition.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated Hofmann on his selection as the Islamic Personality of the year and appreciated his efforts to boost Islam as a religion of tolerance and love through his researches, editions and ideas.

On his part, Hofmann lauded the objectives of the award and expressed his pleasure about his selection as the Islamic personality of the year.

Present at the meeting were Ibrahim Mohammed Bumelha, Adviser of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Holy Quran Award.
