Mohammed Bin Zayed writes to South African President

WAM Pretoria, Oct 15th, 2009 (WAM): Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation in South Africa Ibrahim Ibrahim received at his office in Pretoria today, Ismail Obeid Al Ali the UAE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Africa. During the meeting at headquarters of the Ministry, the ambassador delivered to the deputy minister, a letter from General HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces to President Jacob Zuma of South Africa containing an invitation to attend the Future Energy Summit to be hosted by Abu Dhabi next year. They reviewed at the meeting a number of topics related to the development of bilateral relations in various fields and the draft bilateral agreements under negotiation as well as a number of regional and international issues and the exchanged of opinions on them. The Ambassador stressed UAE's keenness in strengthening relations of cooperation and friendship with South Africa and build partnership serving the interests of the two countries. WAM/AB
