South Korea's Hyundai wins US$1.4 billion order for gas facilities in Myanmar

WAM Seoul, Nov 2nd, 2009 (WAM)-- Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., the world's leading shipbuilder, said on Monday that it has won a US$1.4 billion deal to build gas facilities in Myanmar. The deal with Daewoo International Corp., a South Korean trading company, calls on Hyundai Heavy to build the facilities that will produce and transport gas at an offshore gas field in northwestern Myanmar by March, 2013, the company said in a regulatory filing.
