Mohammed Bin Rashid attends Supreme Organizing Committee meeting of the Working Group Dubai 2020

Dubai, Nov 02nd, 2009 (WAM): Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended today a segment of the meeting convened by the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Working Group of 'Dubai 2020'. The meeting held at the Emirates Towers was chaired by the Crown Prince of Dubai HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Building upon his vision for the future, it was early in June this year Sheikh Mohammed launched 'Dubai 2020' with the aim of furthering social and economic progress for the region. Sheikh Mohammed directed the chairman and members of the Group to work as a one team to enable the UAE to win bids for Expo and the Olympics in 2020. "Nothing is impossible as long as we have the determination for change, not change of determination," Sheikh Mohammed told the Group members. The Group members include H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, '&' Head of the UAE Olympic Committee, H.E. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth '&' Community Development, and several heads of government departments. Sheikh Hamdan welcomed the Group members and stressed the importance of the inaugural meeting in brainstorming credentials for the UAE in hosting international events.
