Hamdan bin Zayed orders treatment of needy patients in Bosnia-Herzegovina

Abu Dhabi, Nov 07th, 2009 (WAM)--His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of Ruler in Western Region and Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA), ordered dispatching of the World- Emirati medical team specialised in the heart surgery to Bosnia and Herzegovina to conduct the heart surgeries there on the needy patients.

About 15 doctors have already arrived in Bosnia to commence 15-day-medical mission. The team includes doctors and surgeons from UAE, US, Canada, France and Egypt. They were received by Minister of Health, director of teaching hospital and senior officials.

The move comes in line with the Emirates World Heart Group initiative in partnership with the RCA to provide the curative, surgical and diagnostic services to the needy heart patients.

HE Mohammed Al Qamzi, secretary general of the RCA, said Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed has issued the instructions to meet all the needs and requirements of the medical team to enable them perform the medical task, adding that the UAE leadership and people were keen to support the humanitarian initiatives to ease suffering of the needy patients.

He noted that the mission is a love message from the UAE people to the Bosnian people.
