2009-11-09 22:00:31
WAM Abu Dhabi, 9th Nov. 2009 (WAM) -- Government and private schools as well as teaching, administrative and technical staff will observe the Eid Al Adha holiday and the UAE's 38th national day from the 9th of the Hijri month of Zu al Haja 1430 up to the 2nd and 3rd of December, according to a ministerial resolution issued by H.E Humaid Al Qattami, Minister of Education.

The Ministry of Education announced the holiday earlier this year out of its policy to bring stability to the academic year, create the adequate working environment for all school staffers and provide educational zones across the country with the opportunity to celebrate the glorious national day in the best style that fits well into the country's standing.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has lauded efforts being made by administrations of educational zones and schools to mark the national occasion. It also praised their joint cooperation to inculcate and deepen the local culture and identity in the hearts of children of the country and embed the spirit of loyalty to the nation and its leadership for raising a good citizen.
