Abu Dhabi, 22 Nov. 2009 (WAM) - President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received congratulatory cables on his re-election as President of the United Arab Emirates.

The cables were sent by President Abdul Aziz Bouteflika of Algeria, HRM Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, and President Carlos Papolias of Greece.

Sheikh Khalifa also received a cable of thanks from President Felipe Calderon of Mexico, in reply to a congratulatory cable earlier sent be Sheikh Khalifa on the anniversary of Mexico's Independence Day.

Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received a similar cable from the Mexican leader.
