WAM Abu Dhabi, Nov 29th, 2009 (WAM)--UAE Environment and Water Minister HE Dr Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, has stressed that the achievements attained by the UAE under wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, earned the country prestigious regional and international position.

He told Emirates News Agency (WAM) in an interview on the advent of the 38th UAE National Day Anniversary that the Ministry of Environment and Water, since its inception has been receiving support to boost its capacity.

Fahad noted that the ministry launched a number of initiatives to protect the environment.
