WAM Abu Dhabi, Dec 16th, 2009 (WAM) -- A delegation from the Defence College of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) paid a visit today to the Federal National Council, the country's parliament.

First Deputy Speaker Ahmed Shabib Al Dhahiri received the delegation consisting of 130 cadets and welcomed their visit to the country.

In a conversation with the delegation Al-Dhahiri shed light on the political life in the UAE and its constitution.

He also gave a glimpse of the development of UAE since its formation in 1971 and the steady progress of the parliamentary march.
