Auckland City lands 5th place in FIFA Club World Cup

WAM Abu Dhabi, 16 Dec. 2009 (WAM) - General H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces attended this evening a match at the Zayed Sport City between Auckland City Club of New Zealand and TP Mazimbe of Congo as part of the FIFA Club World Cup, hosted by the UAE.
Auckland City snatched the 5th place in the championship after beating Mazimbe 3-2 in a thrilling encounter.
Sheikh Mohammed signed the jersey of UAE national team, which carries the signature of FIFA President Sepp Blatter. The jersey will be displayed at the UAE Football Association's headquarters.
Present during the match were H.E. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Sepp Blatter, Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the UAE Football Association, and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under Secretary of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court.
