WAM Dubai, Feb 16th, 2010 (WAM)--Dubai Public Prosecution (DPP) has issued the international arrest warrant against suspected murderers of Mahmoud Al Mabhouh on charges of premeditated murder in Dubai.

Dubai Attorney General Essam Eisa Al Humaidan, said the arrest warrant was issued as per the current UAE laws, including the International Judicial Cooperation Law in criminal issues and agreements linking the UAE and the home countries of the suspects.

He added that the UAE has signed the judicial cooperation agreement with many countries, indicating that this will allow it to request extradition of the suspects wherever they hide.

Al Humaidan noted that the DPP commenced investigation immediately after the murder, adding that it ordered forensic investigation to establish causes of death and how it occurred. It also listened to the witnesses. He added that the investigation is still underway.
