WAM Kabul, Mar 20th, 2013 (WAM) -- Al Maktoum Charity Foundation, in the presence of UAE Ambassador to Afghanistan Yousuf Saif Subaa Al Ali, has distributed aid to Women's Shelter in Kabul in Kabul as part of its charitable and humanitarian programmme to assist the needy segments in Afghanistan.

The Foundation gave out assistance in coordination with the UAE embassy in Afghanistan and under the supervision of the Permanent Committee for Humanitarian and Development Assistance in Afghanistan.

UAE ambassador hailed the role the philanthropic organisation plays in Afghanistan, especially in providing support for the needy people, stressing that the humanitarian assistance extended by Al Maktoum Foundation was welcomed with appreciation and thanks from the Afghani people.
