UAEU signs cooperation agreement with University of Castilla-La Mancha
WAM AL AIN: The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and the University of Castilla-La Mancha signed a mutual agreement for scientific research and cultural, social and economic development.
The agreement was signed by the Vice Chancellor Dr. Ali Rashid Al-Noaimi on behalf of the UAEU and Chancellor Prof. Dr. Miguel Angel Collado Yurrita on behalf of the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
Both universities aim to broaden their base of research activities and development, especially those that relate to the economic and scientific aspects so as to enhance the role of the two universities in providing quality services. Separate work teams are to be formed to determine the course in which to put the executive procedures for both parties in place and to assess the academic and logistical commitments.
Dr. Ali Rashid Al-Noaimi commended the cooperation agreement saying that, "The UAEU is looking forward to further cooperation with international prestigious universities and scientific research centers to achieve the objectives of the University that relate to community service and support for its research programs." Dr. Al-Noaimi added, "The UAEU has the capabilities and resources to reach its well-deserved scientific position among other universities and has become a leading scientific institute with elite faculty and students with experiences at a local, regional and global level." Prof. Dr. Miguel Angel welcomed this agreement that opens up many opportunities for both sides with common goals and said that, "We will work through this cooperation to enrich the research activities in a number of areas that serve the purpose of the two universities - on the level of researchers and students, as well as economic issues which are gaining priority for sustainable development for both parties.
The Spanish delegation expressed thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates University, and praised the progress and successive scientific breakthroughs that they have come to know about at UAEU.
