UAE Cancer Congress 2013 to continue promoting excellence in oncology in the region
WAM DUBAI, July 14th, 2013 (WAM) -- The 2013 edition of the UAE Cancer Congress will be held in Dubai, UAE, between 3-5th October 2013 under the theme of promoting excellence in oncology through multidisciplinary care of patients suffering from cancer.
Following feedback from last year's attendees, the 5th edition of the UAE Cancer Congress will consist of top regional and international faculty and oncologists of all disciplines from the Middle East North Africa region, including General practitioners, Oncology Nurses, Surgeons, Radiologists and Nutritionists.

This year's sessions will focus heavily on practical case studies and interactive debates providing an excellent platform for participants to meet, network and share their expertise with peers from around the world.
The 5th Annual UAE Cancer Congress 2013 covers topics such as: pathology, translational research, epidemiology, imaging hematological malignancies, solid tumors, supportive care, quality of life issues, information management in oncology as well as cancer control in developing countries.
The congress has developed several partnerships this year with American Hospital-Dubai, and the 1st Indian Cancer Congress, a merger of the top four oncology associations in India, to promote growth through collaboration and reach out to professionals in the field across the region and internationally.
The Head '&' Neck Master Course returns for the second year with participation from various societies from South Korea, Japan, India and Pakistan.
There will also be dedicated sessions for cancer nutrition, breast surgical oncology, GI oncology, lung cancer and breast cancer.
The Oncology Nursing Program also returns with dedicated tracks for nurses and will focus on the knowledge needed to enhance skills to care for patients. Sessions will also explore the oncology nurse's role in implementing best practices and advocating for their patients and their profession in order to provide the highest quality nursing care.
Several grants are available at this years congress including a limited number of travel grants for delegates from low income countries to attend the congress and research grants for ongoing investigations.
