Economy Minister discusses enhancing cooperation with Belarus
WAM ABU DHABI, 18th September, 2013 (WAM) -- Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, and Roman Golovchenko, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the UAE, have discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, they also discussed ways to enhance and boost relations, especially at the economic, trade and investment levels.
Mr. Al Mansouri welcomed the Ambassador of Belarus, wishing him success in his work to enhance relations between the UAE and Belarus .
The meeting, which was attended by Juma Al Kait, Assistant Under-Secretary for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, reviewed opportunities and possibilities available to the two countries that could contribute to supporting and strengthening cooperation in important sectors for both countries.
Al Mansouri stressed that the ministry is ready to provide all necessary facilities to strengthen the links between the business communities in the UAE and Belarus.
The Ambassador of Belarus highlighted the availability of investment opportunities in his country, especially in the health care sector, in addition to industry, food industry and tourism fields.
The Ambassador expressed his admiration for the UAE's economic model, saying that the country has strengthened its global position following its economic boom.
The Ambassador conveyed the invitation of Belarusian Economy Minister, Nikolai Snopkov, to his UAE counterpart, to visit Belarus heading a high-level delegation to strengthen relations and highlight investment opportunities available on both sides.
