Al Jarwan slams plans of Czech Republic to transfer its Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem
WAM CAIRO, 6th October, 2013 (WAM)--The Arab Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, has criticised the plans of Czech President Milos Zeman to transfer the Czech's Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Al Jarwan said in a statement today that if plans of President Ziman come into force, they will be blatant violation of international law, UN resolutions, Geneva Conventions and international agreements on the occupied Palestinian territories, including eastern Jerusalem.
"We in the Arab Parliament call upon the Arab diplomacy to resist such practices through political and diplomatic means in defence of Arabism of Jerusalem and Al Aqsa Mosque as well," he added.
Prague Daily Monitor earlier quoted the Czech President as saying he was planning to convince the government after elections to transfer the Czech Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
