LONDON, 2nd August, 2021 (WAM) -- More than 198.02 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and over 4.38 million have died, according to a Reuters tally on Monday. Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

Russia reports 22,804 new COVID-19 cases, 789 deaths

MOSCOW, 1st August, 2021 (WAM Reuters) -- Russia reported 22,804 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, including 2,484 in Moscow, taking the official national tally since the pandemic began to around 6.29 million.
