Ras Al Khaimah showcases sustainable development achievements at GMC

RAS AL KHAIMAH, 15th November, 2023 (WAM) -- Ras Al Khaimah welcomed a global audience to its pavilion on the inaugural day of the Global Media Congress (GMC) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the event marks an essential platform for showcasing the emirate's remarkable sustainable development journey.

Aligned with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, the emirate's pavilion emerged as a focal point for national and international media stakeholders. It provided insights into how Ras Al Khaimah is rapidly becoming the preferred destination in the region for living, working, and exploring.

The dynamic exhibition space, inspired by the colours of the natural world, presented initiatives and strategic plans by the Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office (RAKGMO). These efforts aim to enhance the Emirates' global media presence and highlight its sustainable development achievements, ensuring a prosperous future for present and future generations.

Heba Fatani, Director-General of RAKGMO, will deliver a keynote panel discussion today on 'Nurturing Talent to Stimulate Creativity and Increased Opportunities in an Enhanced Media Ecosystem.' This panel offers an opportunity to spotlight Ras Al Khaimah's growing contribution to the evolving media landscape.

Fatani emphasised RAKGMO's commitment to innovation, creativity, and cultural exchange while celebrating the transformative power of media to connect with global audiences. She invited all attendees to explore Ras Al Khaimah's pavilion, engage with media experts, and discover collaborative growth opportunities offered by the emirate.

The Ras Al Khaimah Radio Authority Director-General and journalist Mohammed Ghanem Mustafa hosted 'The Live Broadcast' from the pavilion, featuring prominent figures from the media sector. This marks the first live radio show in the UAE, spanning all three days of the Global Media Congress.
