ABU DHABI, 17th November, 2023 (WAM) -- Antoine Delcourt, Ambassador of Belgium to the UAE, hosted a reception on Thursday evening to celebrate his country's National Day.
The event, held at the Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, was attended by several high-ranking officials, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the UAE, and members of the Belgian community residing in the country.
In his speech, Ambassador Delcourt commended the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasising the strong cooperation between the two friendly nations across various fields. He reaffirmed Belgium's commitment to enhancing the bonds of collaboration for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples.
He also highlighted the UAE's significant position as Belgium's top trading partner in the Arab world, and reciprocally, Belgium stands as the UAE's fourth-largest trading partner within the European Union.
