Emirates Scout Association launches website for 33rd Arab Scout Camp

DUBAI, 17th November, 2023 (WAM) -- The Emirates Scout Association has unveiled a new website for the 33rd Arab Scout Camp, a historic regional event hosted for the first time in the UAE.

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, the camp is scheduled from 15th to 25th December at the Al Marmoom Conservation Reserve.

With the theme "Scouting: A Sustainable Approach", the camp will see the participation of more than 1,500 scouts representing 19 Arab countries to enhance communication and interaction among Arab scouts, promoting the scout spirit and common human values.

The new website aims to document the camp's activities, programmes, and events, fostering a culture of diversity, integration, and respect for different cultures. It seeks to deepen positive values, instil a sense of loyalty and belonging to the nation, introduce tourists to the UAE's cultural, environmental, and historical landmarks, and facilitate communication and knowledge exchange among Arab scouts.

The association invites all Arab scouts to join the platform, benefit from learning opportunities, and contribute to innovative scout programmes.

Khalil Rahma, Secretary-General of the Emirates Scout Association and the Camp's General Leader, emphasised the importance of using technology and modern communication tools to achieve the association's goals and enhance the role of scouts in building a knowledgeable and responsible generation.

The innovative and user-friendly design of the new website provides easy access to information about the camp's programmes. The site explains the scouting philosophy and guidelines adopted by the camp, providing an overview of activities such as camping trips, educational games, workshops, and competitions. Regular updates will keep visitors informed about future activities.
