ADM enhances aesthetic appearance of Abu Dhabi with over 5 million winter flowers

ABU DHABI, 10th January, 2024 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM), represented by the Sub-Municipalities Operations Sector, has carried out a project to plant over 5.4 million winter flowers across the city and mainland as part of the municipality's efforts to enhance the general appearance.

This initiative aims to bring happiness to residents, add beauty and joy to public facilities and streets, and strengthen the unique aesthetic and civilisational aspects of Abu Dhabi, its suburbs, public facilities, and infrastructure.

Accordingly, flowers have been planted on the sides of roads, traffic islands, roundabouts, bridges, walkways, and corridors in different areas, aiming to elevate the coordinated aesthetic appearance of public facilities and create an environment that brings tranquillity and comfort to both residents and visitors.

In 2023 alone, ADM planted a staggering 10.5 million flowers, showcasing their unwavering commitment to transforming Abu Dhabi into a blooming paradise. Each municipality played its part, with the City Municipality planting over 3.2 million flowers, Al Wathba contributing 507,750, Musaffah adding 138,352, Al Shahamah beautifying the city with 411,850, and Zayed City Centre bringing the total to over 1.2 million.
