ABIDJAN, 23rd January, 2024 (WAM) – Defending champions Senegal secured top spot in Group C at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-0 victory over Guinea.
Abdoulaye Seck headed the Teranga Lions in front from a free-kick, and Iliman Ndiaye sealed the win with a fine low finish in the final minute.
Already assured of advancement, Guinea finished third in the group after Cameroon's 3-2 win over The Gambia.
Senegal now roars through the group stage as the only team with a perfect record.
