Japan logs $1.4 billion trade surplus in June

TOKYO, 18th July, 2024 (WAM) -- Japan had a trade surplus of 224.0 billion yen ($1.4 billion) in June, Kyodo News reported, citing the Finance Ministry on Thursday.

Exports rose 5.4 percent, marking the seventh straight month of increase, while imports grew 3.2 percent.

For the first six months of 2024, Japan posted a trade deficit of 3.23 trillion yen, the ministry said in a preliminary report.
