Global women leaders to take centre stage at 4th Eurasian Women's Forum in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, 29th August, 2024 (WAM) -- The foruth Eurasian Women's Forum (EWF) will be held in St. Petersburg in Russia from 18th to 20th September.

According to TV BRICS, the media partner of the event, the Eurasian Women's Forum is the largest international platform for dialogue between women leaders from all continents.
Representatives of parliaments and governments, scientific community and public organisations, businesswomen and opinion leaders will participate in the forum.

The main theme of this year's Forum is "Women for Strengthening Trust and Global Cooperation".

Forum participants will discuss women's contributions to shaping the modern international agenda, developing technologies, ensuring social well-being and societal stability, addressing environmental and food security challenges, and preserving traditions and cultural diversity.

The BRICS Women's Forum will take place on the final day. The strategic session will discuss cooperation within the BRICS group and its development prospects. A meeting of the BRICS Civil Council and a meeting of environmental bloggers are also scheduled.

Separate sessions will be devoted to the energy transition and the development of the agro-industrial complex. There will also be flash mobs, presentations and exhibitions dedicated to the cultural heritage and future projects of the BRICS countries.

The Eurasian Women's Forum has been organised since 2015. In 2021, it attracted approximately 2,500 women representatives from 111 countries and 23 international organisations.
