FLORIDA, 27th September, 2024 (WAM) -- Hurricane Helene has made landfall in the Florida Big Bend, the US National Hurricane Centre said on late on Thursday.
Reuters quoted the Miami-based forecaster as saying that Helene is located about 45 miles (70 km) east-southeast of Tallahassee, Florida, with maximum sustained winds of 140 mph (225 kph).
