BEIJING, 11th November, 2024 (WAM) -- China's e-commerce logistics index, which measures logistics operations within the e-commerce sector, reached 115 points in October, an increase of 0.6 points from September, according to data released Monday by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP).
According to China Central Television (CCTV), experts indicated that the e-commerce logistics index in October experienced significant growth, driven by robust online shopping activity resulting from sales promotions offered by major e-commerce platforms and the ongoing trade-in program for home appliances.
The sub-index for the sector's total business volume rose by 2.5 points from the previous month to 133.7 points, marking a new five-year high, according to data from the CFLP.
Regionally, the northeastern region saw the largest increase in its total business volume index.
In October alone, the inventory turnover rate index rose by 0.8 points from the previous month, driven by an increase in business volume.
