Abu Dhabi, Al Riyadh municipalities discuss enhancing cooperation

Abu Dhabi, 15th November, 2024 (WAM) -- The Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Al Riyadh Region Municipality in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations, exchange expertise, and best practices across several areas of municipal work.

This came during a meeting at the municipality headquarters in Abu Dhabi, where Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, received Walid Al Akresh, Undersecretary of Projects at the Riyadh Region Municipality, along with the accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, Al Qubaisi emphasised Abu Dhabi Municipality's commitment to fostering cooperative relationships and communication with local, regional, and international entities. He highlighted the municipality's dedication to facilitating benchmarking visits, leveraging global expertise, and sharing Abu Dhabi's distinctive municipal experiences.

This commitment is rooted in a shared goal of exchanging successful practices that deliver top-tier municipal services, enhance community well-being, and advance comprehensive development.

He also praised the remarkable development across Saudi Arabia, particularly in Al Riyadh, and expressed his anticipation for further collaboration.

In turn, the delegation reviewed the achievements of the Abu Dhabi Municipality, focusing on best practices implemented by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to enhance road networks, transportation, infrastructure development, and urban beautification projects. They were also briefed on the leading initiatives undertaken in Abu Dhabi in these fields, with discussions exchanging insights and perspectives on these topics.

Furthermore, Al Qubaisi and Al Akresh exchanged commemorative shields, affirming the importance of continued meetings and coordination to benefit from each side's pioneering projects.
