AMSTERDAM, 18th November, 2024 (WAM) – Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), has been appointed member of the Board of the Amsterdam-based World Agriculture Forum (WAF).
Prof. Rudy Rabbinge, Chairman, WAF Board, which includes global leaders from different countries, congratulated Dr. Al Zaabi, who has extensive experience spanning over 30 years in the fields of accounting, banking, finance and investment, making him a valuable addition to the Board of Directors of the Forum.
The appointment of Dr. Al Zaabi is a major step in setting the agenda for change and promoting policies and innovations that support food security and promote the role of the WAF in directing strategic priorities and addressing global challenges in the agricultural sector. It also reflects the WAF’s commitment to making a positive and sustainable impact on food security and improving farmers’ livelihoods, which contributes to achieving a more sustainable and prosperous agricultural future.
The WAF aims to empower small farmers and promote sustainable agricultural development through partnerships that cross borders and sectors.
