ACCRA, 7th December, 2024 (WAM) -- Millions of Ghanaian voters head to the polls today to elect a new President, Ghana News Agency (GNA) reported.
The polls are being held across more than 40,000 polling stations.
With 18,774,159 valid voters registered, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are competing in the elections.
To win the presidency, a candidate needs at least 50 per cent plus one of the total valid votes cast.
In the parliamentary race, a simple majority will determine the winner.
