Credit index of Chinese enterprises up in October

BEIJING, 10th December, 2024 (WAM) -- The credit index for Chinese enterprises stood at 158.83 points in October, up 0.47 points from September, indicating that businesses are experiencing improved financial stability, the State Administration for Market Regulation said on Tuesday.

According to China Central Television (CCTV), the administration stated that, in October, the top five provincial regions in terms of enterprise credit index were Beijing, and the provinces of Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shaanxi.

From an industry perspective, the accommodation and catering industry saw the largest increase in credit index, it said.

The ranking of the scientific research and technical services industry on the index has improved significantly, entering the top five for the first time this year. The ranking of the leasing and business services industry rose by two places, reaching a new high this year, according to the administration.
