Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre concludes participation in Sharjah Literature Festival

ABU DHABI, 22nd January, 2025 (WAM) -- The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC) has concluded its participation in the inaugural edition of the Sharjah Literature Festival, held from 17th to 21st January under the theme “Stories of the Emirates to Inspire the Future.”

The Centre's participation aligns with ALC’s strategy to nurture Emirati talent by promoting, publishing, and supporting local literary works.

During the festival, the ALC showcased around 200 titles, including 65 new publications curated from its Kalima Project for Translation, Basaer series of research papers and studies, and the Esdarat initiative.

These efforts aimed to strengthen the Arabic language's presence, highlight the latest publications, and enhance public engagement, reinforcing the Centre’s commitment to supporting cultural events and initiatives.

Through its participation, the ALC sought to introduce its diverse publications and initiatives, encouraging greater involvement in its innovative programmes and activities.

The Centre's efforts also supported the promotion of Emirati cultural events, enhancing their significance and depth. Furthermore, this participation bolstered the UAE's reputation as a cultural hub that hosts a wide range of leading cultural and creative events, reflecting the nation's rich civilisational and cultural heritage.
