SHARJAH, 1st May, 2025 (WAM) -- The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation organised its first introductory tour of the "Prophet's Neighbours Endowment" project at the Sharjah International Airport Authority as part of its promotional plan.
Tours were met with remarkable interaction from the department's employees and visitors.
The interactive pavilion set up by the Foundation at the department's headquarters saw a remarkable turnout, where attendees learned about the details of the endowment project, its noble goals of supporting and empowering orphans, and the importance of contributing to this humanitarian project, which has received the attention of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah International Airport Authority, emphasised that supporting humanitarian and community initiatives is a fundamental pillar of the authority's strategic direction to achieve comprehensive national goals and serve the local community.
Al Midfa added that Sharjah International Airport Authority's participation in the launch of the introductory tours for the "Prophet's Neighbours Endowment" project is in line with the emirate's vision to instil the values of giving, social solidarity, empowering, caring and securing orphans’ future, thus contributing to enhancing sustainable growth paths.
Al Midfa explained that adopting such charitable initiatives reflects the authority's commitment to expanding its development role, consolidating Sharjah Airport's position as a strategic hub in supporting the emirate's economic and social development plans.
Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, indicated that these introductory tours reinforce the foundation's mission to spread the culture of charitable endowments and expand the scope of community participation in supporting orphans.
Al Suwaidi said that through the project, the foundation seeks to establish the concept of ongoing charity as one of the pillars of sustainable social development.
She emphasised that this positive interaction at the Sharjah International Airport Authority reflects the extent of community response to the authentic humanitarian initiatives launched by the Emirate of Sharjah under the guidance of its wise leadership.
At the pavilion, the foundation was keen to introduce visitors to the available means of contribution. Those interested can participate through regular monthly deductions to the endowment, or join the “Endowment Dirham Initiative”, which allows donors to contribute one dirham per day. They can also purchase endowment bonds in various amounts to suit everyone.
The foundation also provides donation options via SMS or direct bank transfer, as well as the ability to donate via the "Prophet's Neighbours" electronic platform.
Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation will continue organising introductory tours for the "Prophet's Neighbours Endowment" project at various government and private entities in the emirate, promoting the values of social responsibility and spreading the culture of charitable endowments among society members.
