Earthquake of magnitude 6.4 strikes Vanuatu

PORT VILA, 14th February, 2026 (WAM) -- An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 struck off ​the coast of northern Vanuatu, the US Geological Survey ‌(USGS) ⁠said ​on ⁠Saturday.

The quake ⁠was ⁠10 km (6.2 mile) deep, ⁠USGS ​said.

The ⁠Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said there ​was ‌no tsunami threat ​from the ​earthquake.
