TOKYO, 1st April, 2026 (WAM) -- An earthquake of magnitude 5 hit eastern Japan, authorities said on Wednesday, shaking buildings in the capital, but prompting no tsunami warning.
The epicentre in the Ibaraki region was 50 km (31 miles) deep, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
