NEW YORK, 22nd July, 2026 (WAM) -- Major US indexes closed higher on Wall Street today, boosted by a sharp rise in semiconductor stocks, while investors awaited earnings reports from major technology companies for signs about the future of artificial intelligence.
The S&P 500 closed up 64.04 points, or 0.86%, at 7,507.32.
The Nasdaq Composite rose 321.53 points, or 1.26%, to 25,829.61, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 384.46 points, or 0.74%, to 52,223.72.
