ISLAMABAD, 30th July, 2026 (WAM) -- Seven police officers and eight militants were killed on Wednesday evening in an attack on a security checkpoint in northern Pakistan.
The attack took place in the Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, near the country's northern border, according to district police official Tariq Habib.
The police official said that 22 other police personnel were injured in the attack, adding that a search operation had been launched in the area.
