FUJAIRAH, 24th August, 2026 (WAM) -- The UAE Sports for All Federation has successfully concluded the Fujairah Indoor MTB ITT (Mountain Bike Individual Time Trial) at Fujairah Mall, attracting 120 male and female cyclists of diverse nationalities across the men’s, women’s, and People of Determination categories over a 3-kilometre course.
Organised in collaboration with the Fujairah Adventures Centre and Endurance Sports Services, the event highlighted strong international participation across its open divisions.
Türkiye’s Agit Salman claimed top spot in the men’s open category, followed by Spain’s Álvaro Galindo in second and Russia’s Ruslan Lazovsky in third, while Bader Al Hammadi won the People of Determination category.
In the women’s open division, Britain’s Vicky Walshaw secured first place, ahead of Russia’s Kristina Zabolotko in second and Iran’s Atefeh Karimi in third.
The local competitions saw Mohammed Al Ghafri win the Emirati men’s title, with Abdulaziz Al Serkal and Butti Al Mheiri taking second and third respectively. Maryam Al Ali won the Emirati women’s category, followed by Meera Al Falasi in second and Kaltham Al Mazmi in third.
Saeed Ali Al Ajel, President of the UAE Sports for All Federation, stated that the initiative aims to promote a culture of sports and healthy living while fostering community engagement. He confirmed that upcoming community races will be staged at Sahara Centre in Sharjah and Dubai Outlet Mall to encourage widespread participation across all segments of society.
