NEW YORK, 26th September, 2026 (WAM) -- US stock indices closed higher on Friday, supported by gains in artificial intelligence-related shares.
The S&P 500 rose 37.96 points, or 0.49 percent, to 7,742.09 points. The Nasdaq Composite gained 125.51 points, or 0.47 percent, to 27,064.88 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 469.07 points, or 0.91 percent, to 51,819.05 points.
