VIENNA, 18th April, 2024 (WAM) -- A delegation from the UAE Accountability Authority, headed by Humaid Obaid Abushibs, Chairman of the Authority, participated in the 26th United Nations and International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (UN/INTOSAI) Symposium, which was held in the Austrian capital, Vienna, from 16th to 18th April.
The participants exchanged experiences on the role and contribution of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) to sustainable development and climate action.
The UAE Accountability Authority also held a series of bilateral talks on the sidelines of the symposium, which began with a meeting with Dr. Margit Kraker, President of the Austrian Court of Audit and Secretary-General of the INTOSAI, in addition to meetings with the heads of accountability offices in both the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Serbia, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of the Netherlands.
