DUBAI, 2nd May, 2024 (WAM) -- The 31st Arabian Travel Market, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Center from 6th to 9th May, showcases the innovative and diverse tourism offerings of the hospitality and hotel sector, with participation from representatives worldwide.
Under the theme "Empowering Innovation - Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship", this year's exhibition emphasizes empowering the tourism, hospitality, and hotel sector through investment in innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.
The event aims to establish innovative marketing initiatives to achieve growth beyond traditional tourism patterns, aligning with the objectives of Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to elevate the city's position among the top three global cities for business and entertainment, and realize its vision as the premier destination to live, work, and visit.
A diverse array of exhibitors, including partners from government agencies, hotels, destination management companies, and tour operators, are preparing to showcase the emirate's offerings due to its advanced infrastructure.
Michael Goetz, General Manager of Mövenpick Jumeirah Hotel, stressed that ATM is a vital opportunity for the dynamic and continuous development of the hospitality industry, particularly in light of technological advancements. He emphasised the event as an important platform for exchanging ideas and solutions with industry leaders to embrace innovation and enhance visitor experiences.

Oliver Bonke, CEO of H World International, highlighted the Middle East as a critical market due to its high per capita income and the significant number of families traveling to European hotels during the summer holiday period. He emphasised the importance of the regional market in supporting the growth of the regional hotel portfolio. Bonke also mentioned that updating the brand represents a new chapter in the group's global growth journey, supporting its broad presence in China and expansion in major global markets.
Bonke underscored Dubai's status as a global tourism capital and business centre, highlighting the importance of strategic partnerships with the public and private sectors. He mentioned recent discussions with Emirates Airlines to connect European flights to China via Dubai, noting the region's high pace of hotel development projects, strong growth in RevPAR, and innovative new destinations, making the Middle East a top priority for any international hotel management company.
