DUBAI, 9th May, 2024 (WAM) -- Rohan Ashok Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, IT and Printing & Stationery for the Indian State of Goa, affirmed that the Middle East region is one of the most important tourism markets for his country, especially the United Arab Emirates.
He noted that they are working on many innovative initiatives after the COVID-19 pandemic to promote the growth and prosperity of tourism to India and to redefine the travel landscape.
In statements to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market, he said that this event is a key player in the global travel and tourism industry. He highlighted its role in attracting buyers and tourists, and providing a platform for Indian exhibitors from Goa Tourism to showcase their offerings and forge new partnerships with travel agents.
The State of Goa is prioritising tourism development, according to the Minister. Their strategy focuses on leveraging the state's extensive coastline while enhancing the overall tourist experience. This includes initiatives in ecotourism, adventure activities, destination weddings, and cultural exploration.
