ABU DHABI, 30th May, 2024 (WAM) -- Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee in the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Ridwaan Jadwat, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of Australia to the UAE.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries.
They emphasised the importance that the leadership and governments of both the UAE and Australia place to develop cooperation and partnership relations.
Additionally, the two parties highlighted the importance of strengthening parliamentary ties for the benefit of the two sides, particularly in economic, investment, scientific, and renewable energy sectors, to broader horizons, which aligns with the shared future aspirations and visions of both countries and their peoples, especially since the UAE is Australia's largest trading partner in the Middle East.
Al Nuaimi highlighted the UAE's efforts to strengthen bridges of effective and balanced cooperation and partnership with countries worldwide, promote values of tolerance and human coexistence, reject hatred, and combat extremism and terrorism.
The Australian Ambassador expressed his country's eagerness to enhance cooperative relations with the UAE in all fields, particularly in economic, cultural, and tourism sectors.
The meeting was attended by several FNC members.
