NEW YORK, 4th July, 2024 (WAM) -- U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi.
They discussed ongoing efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire that secures the release of hostages and provides a concrete roadmap for ending the war in Gaza, as well as allowing a significant and sustained increase in humanitarian assistance throughout Gaza.
Secretary Blinken emphasised the United States’ continuing commitment to the establishment of a Palestinian state with security guarantees for Israel.
