World food prices ease slightly in August, UN says

LONDON, 6th September, 2024 (WAM) -- The United Nations world food price index eased slightly in August to 120.7 points versus a revised 121 points in July, Reuters reported on Friday. The index's global cereal production forecast for 2024 was trimmed by 2.8 million metric tonnes to 2.851 billion.
