GENEVA, 12th October, 2024 (WAM) – Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Federal National Council (FNC) Parliamentary Division Group, and Arab Group’s representative in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), participated in the meetings of the 294th session of the IPU's Executive Committee.
The meetings, which took plave in Geneva, discussed the financial situation of the Geneva-based organisation and approval of the IPU's budget for 2025 in addition to the proposed amendments to its statutes.
Dr. Al Nuaimi also took part in the IPU's Gender Partnership Group meeting, which it reviewed the situation of parliaments with low representation of women, and discussed measures to support increasing women’s participation in parliamentary work, in addition to discussing the policy of preventing and addressing harassment.
