ABU DHABI, 13th October, 2024 (WAM) -- Members of Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) participated in the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign, launched by the UAE following the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and under the supervision of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council.
The campaign aimed to provide humanitarian support to the Lebanese people by supplying relief materials to alleviate their suffering.
People of Determination from various categories took part in organising and supervising the humanitarian and relief aid efforts, led by the Emirates Red Crescent.
The event took place on Saturday at the Expo Dubai Exhibition Center, with collaboration from different segments of UAE society in collecting relief materials on Sunday at the Abu Dhabi Ports Cruise Terminal, in coordination with Abu Dhabi’s donor institutions and organisations.
This participation is part of the ongoing efforts of ZHO to promote social inclusion and the active involvement of its members in society. It is also a core element of the organization’s strategy to enhance humanitarian values and social solidarity.
