BAGHDAD,10th November, 2024 (WAM) – Iraqi Ministry of Defence's Joint Operations Command announced the killing of four terrorists in an airstrike in the Hamrin Mountains within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector on the border with the Salahuddin Operations Command.
A statement by the command carried by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: "After a distinguished intelligence and through intensive follow-up, the location of a terrorist detachment consisting of (4) elements was identified in the Hamrin Mountains within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector on the border with the Salah al-Din Operations Command."
The statement explained that "in light of this accurate information, the brave air hawks carried out a painful strike using F-16 aircraft targeting this terrorist detachment, which led to the killing of its members and the destruction of the hideout in which they were stationed. This strike also resulted according to the available information in the destruction of weapons, ammunition, logistical and explosive materials."
The statement continued, "Our forces and intelligence departments will continue to monitor the movements of the terrorists to bring just retribution against them, as there is no place for them on Iraqi soil."
