SHARJAH, 11th November, 2024 (WAM) -- The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) is participating in the 43rd edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) taking place at the Sharjah Expo Centre until 17th November 2024.
The ADJD's participation aims to spread knowledge and raise legal awareness among community members to consolidate sustainable development and justice foundations.
It also aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the ADJD, to focus on promoting legal culture through participation in various cultural and community events to ensure reaching a wide range of community segments.
The Judicial Department is showcasing the services provided by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Community and Legal Awareness (Masouliya), highlighting the objectives of awareness campaigns that focus on behaviours aligned with community values and principles. These initiatives emphasise the preventive role in reducing risks and cybercrimes, explaining the legal liabilities associated with committing such offences, thereby creating a secure and protective framework.
It also introduces services provided in the juvenile care centres of the Correctional and Rehabilitation Centres Sector, outlining unique initiatives aligned with global best practices. These initiatives support rehabilitative and guidance roles to instil positive values in juveniles, reshape their behaviour, and enhance their skills and knowledge through vocational workshops and cultural programmes to advance rehabilitation and reform efforts.
The Judicial Department provides visitors with copies of legal publications, comprising a valuable collection of specialised books and publications in the judicial and legal field. This collection includes updated legislation, laws, and specialised research and studies designed to enrich judicial work, track judicial interpretations, and keep pace with legislative developments
