GENEVA, 18th November, 2024 (WAM) -- The United Nations announced the appointment of Tom Fletcher as Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator.
The organisation noted in a statement today in Geneva that Fletcher, the former British Ambassador to Lebanon, is the twelfth official to hold this position since the establishment of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
