ABU DHABI, 26th November, 2024 (WAM) -- The UAE Pro League has announced a new partnership agreement with Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE’s national railway network.
The agreement designates Etihad Rail as an official partner for the UAE Pro League competitions for the 2024/2025 sports season.
The signing ceremony was held at Etihad Rail’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi and attended by key officials, including Abdulla Nasser Al-Jneibi, Chairman of the UAE Pro League, and Shadi Malak, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Etihad Rail.
This partnership is part of the UAE Pro League’s 2020-2030 strategic vision, which seeks to foster impactful collaborations that generate commercial benefits for its competitions and professional clubs.
In addition to encouraging health-conscious behaviours, promoting sportsmanship, and positioning sports as a core lifestyle value.
Additionally, the agreement aligns with Etihad Rail’s commitment, operating under the guidance of the wise leadership and the oversight of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Etihad Rail, to sustainable social development and its support for the local community across various sectors, including sports and athletes.
In addition, and through this collaboration, Etihad Rail aims to raise awareness about the importance of public transportation via rail, recognizing it as one of the most sustainable, safe, reliable, and efficient modes of transportation.
Moreover, rail transport plays a vital role in shortening distances, bringing people and communities closer, and enabling them to reach their destinations with ease, thereby enhancing the flow of movement of people across the country.
